STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
To promote STEM, the Boy Scouts of America encourages the natural curiosity of youth members of all ages: from Webelos Scientist Activity Pin to Scouts USA Welding Merit badge. Scouts in the Baltimore Area have unique access to a wide range of STEM-related activities in their units, our Council, community organizations and technology firms. To support this initiative, the BSA developed the Nova Awards program so that youth members get fun and recognition for their efforts.
